Island Drafting and Technical Institute (IDTI) was founded in 1957. The Institute strives to educate and train students so that they may enter their chosen field or continue their education at the baccalaureate or higher level.

Located in Amityville, New York, Island Drafting and Technical Institute is staffed by faculty members who have had professional and practical experience in the engineering, architectural, CADD (computer aided drafting/design) and computer and electronics fields.

While we cannot guarantee a job to any graduate, IDTI makes every effort to assist our grads to develop rewarding careers. The IDTI Career Services Department provides individualized placement assistance to our graduates.

The Career Services Department assists prospective graduates in the preparation of résumés and job applications, and in the development of job search skills. We endeavor to arrange interviews between graduates and prospective employers.
